HaLLowEen!!

We had so much fun this year! I had forgotten how much I love Halloween. We started things off with haunted gingerbread houses. Most people only think of gingerbread around Christmas, but my family started doing these a few years ago and they are SO much fun! Since Charise has lived in CA for the past several years, she hasn't been able to decorate her own so this was the first year my whole family was around to make them. They all turned out so cute, and this was the first year that I have made mine all by myself..it turned out SO cute!

Then the Monday before Halloween we carved pumpkins for family night. Can you guess who carved each of them?

Of course, my mom and I ended up carving most of them, I think ended up doing 4.

...and COSTUMES!! Originally, Gracie had decided to be a "hawk dog" (aka hot dog) and Triston wanted to be french fries. I thought it was a cute idea so I was happy to get the costumes and they totally changed their minds when we got to the store and they realized that their heads need to stay inside the costumes. They finally settled on a sunflower and a pirate.

For the first time, my niece Avery got to come trick-or-treating! I'm so happy my sister moved back from CA.

I love Aves. She is a cat lover so she insisted that I paint her nose the same as mine.

and FINALLY, after all of the trick or treating, we made a stop by the Wells' house. They are the sweetest people. I think that T had more fun building with their Legos than he did with all of the candy.

Gracie changed her mind about her costume by the end of the night and they were SOO sick of pictures. I had to fight them to stand next to me because I realized we didn't have one together.
